There are a number of issues to consider when dealing with extreme heat. The spray foam insulation will do a good job of isolating the exterior shell from the interior surfaces, but some passive solutions to prevent the UV from coming in contact with the steel of the container are also necessary. There are ceramic paints, exterior claddings, and other organic technologies that prevent thermal transmission from the sun's rays to the steel shell. There are a number of companies that are working on materials that seem promising. I am looking forward to seeing real-world applications and performance data to start incorporating these technologies into zigloo designs and concepts.

Have you researched any insulation solutions that would make your designs feasible for the sun-soaked Sonoran region of Phoenix?
